As Above, So Below is a play-by-post RPG based on the Dragon Age series of video games. Play takes place during the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition as our characters navigate cutthroat politics, tumultuous relationships, and the looming threat of a sky torn asunder. Set in a world of dark fantasy, we explore mature topics while crafting thoughtful and compelling plots focusing on OC stories with minimal canon involvement. We're an advanced RP for those who are comfortable with creative writing. 18+, 3/2/2, Faceclaims optional.

Myanna Tordra
friends
Forming a true friendship with Myanna will be nearly impossible, due to her need to avoid the Carta. However, forming a temporary "friendship" for the duration of a job or mission would not be difficult, because Myanna does enjoy people. She is highly unlikely to share true stories of her life with others, for fear of someone connecting her alter-ego to her true self, but she does enjoy joking around. She can have a foul mouth.
That said, I would be open to plots involving accidental encounters with people she once worked with while living under a different pseudonym.
enemies
Her true enemies are the Carta, and anyone working for them. Since she is former Carta and is being hunted by them, that means that virtually everyone she ever considered family or friend is now an enemy.
She is likely to have trouble getting along with devout Andrastians and anyone who attracts a lot of attention. She is wary of mages and Templars, but is capable of working productively with them if it is absolutely necessary.
lovers
Myanna has not had many lovers, though she believes she was betrayed by her last lover, Elrin. Given her circumstances, Myanna is unlikely to take a lover, though she does enjoy flirting. She is physically attracted to dwarven and human women with curvy backsides.
Mathras has made a few friends over the years, both within the ancient elven community and even outside of it, though most of the latter are presumed to have died. Due to being focused on his tasks for Fen'Harel, Mathras is not looking for friendship. However, should an intelligent, patient person earn his respect, friendship is possible. This is likely to cause him some inner emotional conflict if the friend is someone who would die when the Veil is torn down.
enemies
Those who stand against Solas are likewise enemies of Mathras, though he will hide this when necessary in order to remain hidden within the Inquisition.
Impulsive individuals are unlikely to earn any respect from Mathras. He will likely have difficulty with anyone he views as willfully ignorant, overly talkative, or brash.
lovers
Mathras has had few lovers due to the time he has spent in uthenera and travelling. However, he is attracted to quiet, contemplative women. And though he feels little respect or affection for modern elves, he prefers elven women to those of other races. He once had a brief relationship with a qunari woman, and it would not be impossible for him to feel attraction toward a human or a dwarf.
I'm not particularly sure how Amos would react to Myanna, though I do think that it could be funny. The two of them could possibly be hired onto the same job? I'm not sure what kind of jobs Myanna does now, but Amos does anything so long as there's coin involved. I'm not sure if the two of them would get along, as Amos isn't a fan of people who are foul-mouthed, but that's all the more reason to put them in a thread together.

I think it could work out. Myanna will take any job she can get, as long as it doesn't involve the Carta. I play her at BSN as well, and we had a bard for a while who also didn't appreciate Myanna's foul mouth. They ended up having really good chemistry together, after an ugly start. I think it's worth a shot.

Sounds good to me. Where would she likely be? Amos is pretty much a nomad, so he could pretty much be anywhere in Orlais/Free Marches/Ferelden/etc.
The job itself could be anything from just your standard "I want X item, so you need to get it from X place", or we could have it so they're escorting some kind of civilian. Anything really.

I like the idea of item-searching. She could be anywhere right now as well, though she is from the Free Marches. I'd love to eventually play her in some of the war table missions, but that will come later on anyway.
Did you want us looking for something that is actually mentioned in the game? Or just anything that could be happening at the same time?
We could stumble across one of those red lyrium deposits, maybe. Varric had to get his map from somewhere.
Stumbling onto one of the Red Lyrium deposits sounds like a good idea to me. Maybe our characters could be hired by someone hiring on Varric's behalf, or it could just be someone independent who eventually sells the map.
Maybe she could have some past interactions with Genevieve? After getting kicked out of the Templar order and living on the streets, Gen turned to black market lyrium for a while...possibly still has outstanding debts with lyrium smugglers tbh

Mathras and Silas could be fair-weather buddies, I think. They both like a lot of the same traits in people, and I bet there'd be a decent amount of mutual respect between them. Silas doesn't have any opinions about the Ancient elves or the Veil, but his people are rumored to be the reason the elves are all mostly gone, so... that could be interesting.

Oh, also. Kyne and Mathras are both dreamers, and as an Avvar he venerates the shit outta spirits. I dunno that they'd necessarily get along, but it could be fun to shove them into the fade together at some point.
