As Above, So Below is a play-by-post RPG based on the Dragon Age series of video games. Play takes place during the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition as our characters navigate cutthroat politics, tumultuous relationships, and the looming threat of a sky torn asunder. Set in a world of dark fantasy, we explore mature topics while crafting thoughtful and compelling plots focusing on OC stories with minimal canon involvement. We're an advanced RP for those who are comfortable with creative writing. 18+, 3/2/2, Faceclaims optional.

Amos isn't really sure he's ever had a real friend. Most of the time he feigns interest in a person, only to later discard them when they no longer serve a purpose to him. That's not to say he isn't good at making first impressions, he's non-confrontational and often tries to get on people's good sides, no matter what. However all of this is merely a facade, and most people would probably leave him once they discover this. In that way making long lasting friendships is not something that he's good at, long lasting alliances - sure, but friendships? That's alien territory for him. If someone were to try and become his friend they'd need to be able to handle a lot of his nonsense, as well as being determined to stick with him. This isn't something that many people would be willing to do, and thus, Amos is unlikely to make many (if any) true friends.
enemies
Enemies are a pretty fundamental part of Amos, he always needs to vent his frustration and anger out on someone, and that someone is usually anyone who crosses him (even in the slightest manner). As such he's likely to make many enemies along the way. He dislikes naive people, as they remind him of his late uncle, and he also has no fondness for blockheads who only know how to wield a sword and not their tongue. In a typical uppity Orlesian manner, he also has a grudge against the Fereldens, though he usually keeps such a opinion to himself. Generally speaking almost anyone could become an enemy of Amos.
lovers
Amos has never really been in love before. Yes, he's certainly had relations before (with both men and women), though most of the time it was either just because he wanted some "company", or it was a move in The Game. He knows how to properly court someone, but beyond that he has no experience, and would likely screw up. That's not saying that it's off the table, but he's not actively looking for a romantic partner.

He's a merc, right? I can't think of anything off the top of the dome for Silas, but a few of the other characters are some version of beat-em-up-for-hire types.

They definitely sound like they could be people that Amos would interact with then. I'm sure that he's interacted with other mercenaries and the like during his travels, so there's always room for him to meet someone like that. It could be that they get hired for the same job, they get hired by different people for the same job (ie. both employers want the same item) and then have to deal with one another, or it could even be some kind of random encounter at a tavern. Amos is fairly flexible with where he can be.
