As Above, So Below is a play-by-post RPG based on the Dragon Age series of video games. Play takes place during the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition as our characters navigate cutthroat politics, tumultuous relationships, and the looming threat of a sky torn asunder. Set in a world of dark fantasy, we explore mature topics while crafting thoughtful and compelling plots focusing on OC stories with minimal canon involvement. We're an advanced RP for those who are comfortable with creative writing. 18+, 3/2/2, Faceclaims optional.

Rosala Sha’ael
friends
Rosala has contacts, allies, and occasionally she shares drinks with them. People tend to come and go, in her experience. If she’s ever formed a bond with someone she called “friend”, either she or they were eventually called away on business, and contact was lost for good. She assumes they weren’t really the friends she thought they were, or they simply died. Would she like to make and keep a friend? Certainly. However, she realizes that isn’t likely to happen, given the nature of what she does for a living. If it ever does, it will be her luck that she’s the next to die and break contact.
enemies
Who doesn’t love to hate a no-good ruffian? Rosala often is the enemy. She is part of the reason merchants arrive at their destinations on foot with no wares. She is part of the reason stolen goods are being sold in the docks districts of all the coastal cities. She is part of the reason the streets aren’t safe to roam at night. Her personal enemies, however, tend to be both temporary and few. Everyone is trying to make their own way, and sometimes one individual’s goals clash with another’s. It happens. What’s the point of making it personal?
lovers
Rosala has experienced brief trysts in the past. Those lovers are long gone now. Dead, for all she knows. They were contacts turned friends, turned more, and were not immune to the same pattern that keeps Rosala frequently friendless. This doesn’t please her, and has, perhaps, made her a bit bitter— envious?— towards others with more wholesome lifestyles who maintain stable relationships. Part of her hopes she might one day love and be loved, just as part of her hopes a lasting friendship might find her before death does. A much greater part of her knows that isn’t likely, as her line of work doesn’t allow for much stability, and so she keeps her focus on other matters.

It might be fun to get Rosala and Kyne together! He's currently shacking up with some apostates in the woods (in Ferelden or Orlais. I left it vague). Maybe Rosala could get a tip that a supply wagon meant for the mages is gonna be headed off the main road and be ripe for the picking?
Alternatively, if she ever gets hurt and needs somebody to look after her, Silas is always around.

Do you have a preference? I can send her toward either.
